Preserve
The heritage of Football is always in danger. Every year a ground is sold and bulldozed. Yes - some of the things we lost, needed to go. Anyone who has stood on an open terrace in the dead of winter does not have happy memories of the middens that were football grounds. The Andrew Watson Institute will help to ensure that all known examples of our footballing heritage are preserved for future generations.
It is fitting that one of the first projects of which we heartily approve, is Alistair Firth’s trojan efforts in preserving the grave of Andrew Watson. Click on the side panel to see how its preservation is coming along. In these early days, we are full of praise for those who have decided to do something before our heritage is lost forever.
